I had to do a double take when I saw the poster for Atlas Shrugged Part 1 (can you see what I see?) :

They made a movie of that book? I only know about that book because of Matt Ruff's references in his novel "Sewer, Gas and Electric: The Public Works Trilogy" (wich also had some nice SW references, to stay on topic) , which makes me think: who the f*ck is going to watch this?

The dollar sign shadow?

The Lucas arts logo is what he's referring too.

And whoever puts down the X-Wing series are idiots. That was definitly one of the best series of star wars i've ever read.

Ah, I see.

Sure the mainstream loves the PT and the new Indiana Jones movie, but that's because the mainstream thinks whatever they told to think.

Really? Any source for that?

Most of your posts about the PT/Clone Wars?

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Are you outing me as a PT apologist? :)

I think most of my posts about the PT are negative, except for the animated Clone Wars which were awesome mostly because they were done by Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of Samurai Jack. I don't watch the current Clone Wars show.

I think my comment above was about people who eat up anything that GL comes up with.

What? Show some of them to prove your point, then. Otherwise, it's just a false claim on your part.

I don't appreciate you calling me an idiot.

And the dollar sign shadow would be a better fit for the LucasArts logo.

I was hoping to see some redone X-Wings in the PT. As someone else pointed out, the rebels in the OT were using old technology (X-Wings) so it would have been cool to see some X-Wings with that new car shine.

That and Y-wings. Heck, Y-wings should have been the precursor to X-wings.

Admittedly, the shiny new Y-Wings with the original outer coverings is done correctly in The Clone Wars : http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/BTL-B_Y-wing_starfighter

And I really, really liked that idea. Maybe in the fourth season we get to see X-Wings.

RE: General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread

Was at the library poking around their databases and came across one for Russian news publications.  Had never thought about it but found an article which mentioned that SW didn't arrive in Russia till the 1990s.  Yet in this Russian newspaper database there there probably over a hundred 'Star Wars' articles dating back to the early 80s.  Weird to think that in Russia 'Star Wars' was a feared fake missile shield, while here in the US the person who created 'Star Wars' was sueing the US government over the re-use of the term.
