Whew! Great! How does it look compared to the original?

avisynth.org.ru is where I got all my DePan stuff.

So I've been trying different techniques and settings to get the back and forth wobble out when R2 rocks back and forth (like around frames 26950-27000). Everying I do destroys the improvements in stabilization that I've made in the other parts of the film though. So I think I'm going to have to identify all the problem scenes and switch back to the unstabilized version for those clips. I've tried MVDePan, DePanEstimate, and playing around with all the variables in those as well as my script. Any other ideas?

The picture is much, much better than the original. This is great!

I have no idea to make the picture better and have no suggestion for the "R2-wobble".

Until Moth3r and Arnie.d discussed some avisynth-scripts in the "GOUT-antialiasing"-treat I even did not know how to use avisynth-plugins and always used one-klick-tools for encoding (shame on me )

At the moment I'm learning how powerful avisynth-filtering can be...

Oh my god, somebody is USING Windows Media Player ? And wondering why some non-MS formats don't work ?

I've been working on the script some more. I've decided to back off the image stabilization a bit to make sure that there is no added wobble. On static sceens the stabilization is about half way between the original and my previous script, but now there is absolutely no problem with close up objects wobbling back and forth. I just didn't want to search for every scene that was a problem and hope that I cought them all. Don't worry, the stability is still much better than the original.

I've also noticed some ringing in certain scenes that is helped by turning on the deringing filter on mpeg2source. I'll post a pic of that too.

I've decided to do the do the fft3dfilter after the lanczos4resize so that it doesn't take as long. I had to re-tune the parameters, but I don't see any difference and it seems to run quicker now.

I'll update the posted script tonight.

Moth3r - fft3dfilter is pretty good. It also has some sharpening ability that I use to negate the effects of the eeid2. And as far as the saturation goes, when I look at your comparison pics, I think the original is a bit undersaturated, and I think yours is bit oversaturated, so I chose a value half way inbetween. This is all very subjective though, so my script only reflects how I want the picture to look.

Oldschooljedi - I didn't start using Avisynth until Arnie.d and Moth3r did the anti-aliasing either. It's been fun learning a new tool, but I'm still learning, so I don't think my script will ever be "finished". It might be interesting to start a thread devoted to the "script" and people can post suggestions to make it better.

I use WMP a LOT (old .exe version)! It's quick and dirty! Don't know why the clip won't play for you though.

Agreed. Mine looks too pink. I think yours is a little too orange though. Somewhere inbetween maybe?

It is subjective, that's why I need more opinions other than just mine. Or at least you've convinced me of what I already suspected!

Are you thinking of using some of the anti-aliasing that Arnie.d and Moth3r have done and my image stabilization for your GOUT sources?

Yes, I abandoned the project a couple of month ago because of total lack of free time, but I definitely have to return to it ASAP and finish it.
My last version of SW uses as video a combination of color-corrected 2004 DVD and GOUT resized to anamorphic, and it has 5 audio tracks containing all mixes. I'm still not satisfied with it because all of the GOUT footage was shaky and I used an incorrect font to Greedo's subtitles (your font looks MUCH better).
When I saw your screenshots and video, I decided to rework all the GOUT footage to be less shaky and also the better font
