Hi gang,
This may be quickly answered, but I didn't find a suitable other post to put forth this question in, so I'm gonna do it here. Haven't been able to find the answer online, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.
I live in Denmark and really want to show my nephew the REAL Star Wars movies, but I haven't found any info on any of the fan projects having Danish subtitle options and was wondering if anyone can tell me if the extra feature discs containing the theatrical cuts that was released after the 2004 box set has that, as that would then be an option.
The only option I have currently is showing him the 2004 SE's and I really don't want to do that.
Thanks.

A légpárnás hajóm tele van angolnákkal.I don't know of any, but I'm working on a project to make GOUT-timed subtitles in several languages. The end result will include an English text template and set of instructions for putting subtitles into some of the more popular fan edits here. Danish won't be one of the languages included in the set however, sorry--but it wouldn't be too much work for a native speaker to create them. I hope to have this all ready in a few months--right now I'm waiting for translations/corrections on the first round of languages.

Oh, okay. Well, if the PAL GOUT doesn't have subtitle options, then there'd be no point in trying to obtain it.
Thanks for the answer.

A légpárnás hajóm tele van angolnákkal.Actually I don't know about the PAL GOUT. It could be there and nobody's grabbed them.

THC-1138 meets TK-420Not a PAL owner, however I once saw the PAL GOUT at a torrent site.
I didn't download the .VOB files, but I did grab the .IFO files in order to compare the frame count against my NTSC copy.
Opening that file with ifoEdit.exe and I see that it did contain Danish subs (also Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian.)
I suppose it's possible, however unlikely the torrent seeder added those subs.
Seems more likely they're present on the official disc.
However, in practice you must take into account the "fuckwit factor". Just talk to Darth Mallwalker...

OOH... if that's the case, then there IS reason to try to obtain them. Thanks man. Hoping a PAL GOUT owner can confirm.

The 2006 bonus DVD's released in Sweden contained Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian and English hard of hearing subs.
We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

Well, my reluctance against the PAL GOUT just disappeared in that regard, as they were, in my view, no upgrade from the subtitle-less bootlegs I already owned. I don't know where I got the impression that they were without subtitles... thanks for putting me straight! .)
Though... if I get these... I just need to find someone who'd be interested in those dreadful SE's that come with them.

Got the GOUT now... much better quality over my old bootlegs, so those have been tossed along with the SE's. Overall, I'm fairly pleased with owning this set, seeing as it's the only authentic release of the original movies we'll likely get in a reasonable quality medium.
