Well, I've kept this secret long enough. We started on Roxanne (Roxy for short) back in February and she will be completed in time for CVI in Orlando! I wanted her to be interactive for the fans so we created a sculpt so the hand stretches out so people can stand inside it for photos. We will also have an extra bone accessory prop for fun.
She is made out of 1lb EPS sculpting foam and will weigh around 700lbs when completed. The head was eventually removed and turned to look at the person in her hand. She will be assembled in 5 different pieces for transportation and assembly purposes. She stand about 14ft tall and 17ft long from the front of the extended hand to her tail. More to come in the near future!
This is the "teaser trailer" of the documentary.
Turn up your volume and enjoy!

Magister Pontifex MaximusOh dear, I fear for Ady's new neighbours.
If you guys can build a life-sized Rancor that doesn't move, with enough space he might build one that does move resulting in local panic, looting and the collapse of English society.
It looks lovely BTW.

When have you seen a 14-foot 700-pound sculpt that moved and wasn't located in a theme park or movie set? You know those things cost about a million dollars right? High expectations much?
The Secret History of Star Wars -- now available on Amazon.com!
"When George went back and put new creatures into the original Star Wars, I find that disturbing. It’s a revision of history. That bothers me."

Hand Of JudgmentRedeye,
Nicely done, sir, on the whole project. Tilting the head to look at whoever is in the hand is an awesome touch. Like those on here who publish books, preserve daily newspaper strips from 30 years ago, spend countless hours trying to preserve the original films, or create an online home for all of us to gather - its a labor of love. The dedication shows.
I suppose it goes without saying - we'll be expecting plenty of pictures. ;-)

Twas a joke, referencing fanboys expectations of action figures, and their refusal to purchase items with a low level of articulation.
I would however buy this, which has 0 points of articulation:
