I aim to misbehave.Post here for requests, questions, or just random thoughts about Preservations and other fan projects. (There may have been a similar thread but I have been unable to find one)
I've recently been searching around the internet for a decent preservation of Secret of the Incas (1954) and have only been able to find a low quality version that has a watermark in the corner.
I believe it was released on vhs. Does anyone know of a preservation effort for this?

aka PancakesReally? I have never seen the theatrical cut on DVD anywhere. And I hate all the CG/animated/whatever comic book stuff they added to the DC.

I don't like that added DC crap either, Theatrical much better.

The Ultimate Directors Cut of The Warriors was pure garbage. I bought it when it first came out expecting to see a cut the BBC showed a few years before that had extra footage at the start of the movie, instead i found dumb comic book style pages inserted into the movie. I returned the dvd to HMV the same day i bought it for a full refund. What was Walter Hill thinking about with the new opening ?.As far as i know the theatrical cut is still available on dvd. Its a pity Paramount didnt include both versions when they released the movie on blu ray.

Here's a link on Amazon.

It was one of Paramount's earlier DVDs, but thankfully still got 16x9 treatment. Sadly, it's now OOP :(

Tell me about it, my mint copy sits on the shelf next to the Director's Cut DVD & Blu-ray and the uncut TV Composite Edit, the uncut TV Comp. Edit is actually my preferred version to watch.

It's amazing that you mention that. I just put out a materials request on TehParadox about a month ago for just such a project...but with no replies. All you'd really need is the Calvert workprint (which was in the "Recobbled Cut"), the pan&scan Princess and the Cobbler DVD from Australia (which seems to be insanely OOP and difficult to locate), and the Arabian Knight DVD from Japan(which I have).
If anyone has those first 2 items I mentioned, I'd love to take a crack at making this happen ;)

Sounds like something I might look into around Halloween. I have a German DVD with the workprint (in low, multi-generation VHS quality), but it's a botched PAL-to-NTSC standards conversion. Still, unless another source is available...
