RE: Episode II: Attack of the Ridiculousness (NEW SUBTITLE CONTEST)

Sorry, I never played any of the Zelda games.

Too bad about the audio on the bloopers.

Maybe you could pipe in the cantina music over the whole scene? They are flying coach after all! ;)

No.  Unfortunately the sound is only 2.0 and the Cantina Band song plays over all of the blooper clips, so none of the audio from those clips is useable.

Could you just overlay the Cantina Band music over the entire scene so that the blooper outtake blends in audio-wise?  I think it would add a certain ridiculousness to the whole moment.

Also, would it really matter that much that the audio is in 2.0?  I don't have surround myself, but wouldn't the stereo signal just get distributed amongst the 4/5/6 speakers?

Regarding the new R2 subtitle:

R2: I has nothing to do with Zombies.

STAR WARS EPISODE 2.8 - known as Greenpenguino's best Star wars sequel script, EVA!!!! SEQUEL SEQUEL!

You could use the hot soup blooper but instead of the native soundtrack use a Homer drool noise followed by a Homer panic scream.

Maybe even a sample of , "I got a little cooked but I'm okay" from his son (which would serve to lampoon George's constant recycling of OT lines in the PT).

Say goodbye, to all this and "hello" to Jason Issacs.

All I meant by the 2.0 comment is that there is no easy way to remove the cantina music since it is in both tracks.  If it was 5.1 there would be a chance that the music would only be in the L-R and I could use the center.

And yes, I suppose I could overlay the original cantina music but I'm not that anxious to use the clip anyway.

What is the state of the project?  How goes it?

Rough estimate is I'm two-thirds through the first of three or four rough cuts. Goal is to be finished by end of tbis year.

I've been working on the Ani/Dooku and Yoda/Dooku duels for a while now...and it will be a while longer before I can post the whole thing.  But I'll give everyone a quick sneak peek:

Was flipping channels, and spotted Hayden in this movie...

Maybe a source for dialog? Or do you have the DVD already?

Don't have it.  Might consider it but probably have enough existing dialogue to work with between AOTC and ROTS.

Perhaps some music cues could be sourced form John Williams' early comedy work?

John Goldfarb, Not With My Wife You Don't, etc.?

perhaps Dooku could say "Taste man flesh" throughout the duel (like "Take That")?

Not familiar with JW's work beyond the obvious stuff.  I'm not really that into movie soundtracks.

The duel (at least the second half starting with Obi getting taken down and ending with Dooku running away) is nearly completed.  I got some testers to give feedback and once I've changed a few bits it will be ready to share.  I think you guys will be pleased.

I could see Williams' 1941 score working in a couple places. Maybe even his Lost In Space work?

The voice replacement is perfect! Laughing my head off here.

The light sabers in the dark suddenly reminded me of an infamous scene from a Blake Edwards comedy. Slightly NSFW...

Couldn't some of the warriors in the arena scene be Teenaged Mutant Jedi Turtles (I would love to see those guys take on Surfer Dude Fed)?

Would it be alot of work to have the light sabers changing colour constantly? these fight scenes are already a big flashy mess, why not roll with it and take it to the extream.

Frink,
Have you seen Two-ness? http://theforce.net/fanfilms/shortfilms/twoness/

If not, I'm afraid you do have to watch Duality first. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LsaR9vYexU

And the Empire Strikes Backyard while you're at it- http://theforce.net/fanfilms/shortfilms/backyard.

Just because something could be done, doesn't mean it should be done.

Even if I knew how, I can assure you it would be a ton of work.
