Some of this was heavily influenced (or outright stolen!) from AEmovieguy.

Problem frink?? ;)I quite like the idea of Obi-wan referring to everyone else. I guess it's just me then.
I love Duke Dooku as well.
Have you thought of adding elevator music to the Anakin/Obi conversation?

Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityIt's not that I don't like it, its just that reading the reviews there are a lot of people who don't like the amount of rough audio edits. Which is silly because its kind of the point.

Personally I suggest you stick just with self-reference. Like you said, the choppiness was off-putting for some, so you don't want to make it excessive, and the same goes for the joke. It's probably funniest just leaving it in reference to Obi-wan. But please keep it for himself.
^This.
Also, I second greenpenguino's suggestion regarding elevator music.

No...but it's a brilliant idea.

I dont know... a few can be sprinkled into it.
I think this may be the best idea. I still plan on having Obi go crazy with the names, but I think I'll do it in just one scene.

I enjoy the starred war!LoL....I know one thing, I'd like to hear that corny Obi-wan laugh a few times throughout the edit.

Also, how about, when the elevator doors open, the 'ting!' sound is heard.

I enjoy the starred war!At the end of that scene I notice Jar Jar walking and you can hear subtle sounds I guess from his wardrobe.
Maybe it would be funny to have a clown-like squeaky shoe noise whenever he walks around.

When Dooku is singing you can put close-ups of Christopher Lee's mouth (only the mouth).
You can "zoom in" the mouth from this video:

It would be very funny.

Curse you all, you should have caught me!Or you might be able to work that whole scene in. Cut away from the action of the droid factory sequence to Dooku sitting in some other room with a random alien singing.

I would add reverb or something to the elevator music... its too "present"
(or you could replace it with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Tw69yDJlN4)

I like it...but what about a clown horn to go with this idea:

I don't get what you mean. The music is taken directly from the scene in The Blues Brothers when they are in the elevator. I don't remember anyone complaining about it there...or in TRM, for that matter.

I mean it stands out a little too much, like it doesnt belong, though sort of like how Vaders voice in ANH sounds different to ESB
But it is your edit...

Thinking about it, I would love to hear Count Dookula say this line to Obi-Wan on Geonosis.
"You may come and go as you please. My secrets guard themselves."
It's from The last Unicorn. Though it might be not funny, it always striked me as fitting.

You are treating this like a serious movie...I mean, if you want to compare this to Vader's voice in ANH and ESB, you need to find a different project. It must have drove you nuts when Anakin spoke in Vader's voice in TRM...

Can't you choose a better loop of this song? It is the classic cliche but this version just sounds sloppy.
Again, it was taken direct from the DVD of The Blues Brothers. I honestly don't get the complaints about it.

Question...should I remove any references to Jar-Jar's name, now that I've given him a new voice? Or does it even matter?

I also love how you added in the Krusty clown voice. To answer your question, I would also just keep the Jar Jar name.

Completely, totally agreed! I have tears in my eyes!
The ROTJ collaborative thread is a wealth of ideas, both on how to edit Return of the Jedi, as well as how to collaborate in an edit. Emanswfan has taken leadership of the project.
