SynchTube neither syncs nor tubes. Why is that?

Man, that was a blast!

Depending on where you were sitting, it was either a smashing success or extremely frustrating...or both.

The night started with a surprise for those who showed up early - an appearance by the "other" Ric(k).  An appearance that repeated over and over until it was time for the lights to dim and the curtain to rise.  At that point the TPM teaser trailer was shown, followed by the full trailer.  And then...logos, crawl, and a capella theme!  Things were running smoothly...

Until I lost the feed a few minutes in.  I could tell by the chat that most people were still able to see the feed, but I didn't have audio or video.  It took me about fifteen minutes to finally get it sorted, which included having to rerun the first ten minutes a second time (now there are two of them!).

For some reason I was still 13 seconds behind everyone else, but close enough.

There were a few unfortunate souls who couldn't get it to work at all in the first half.  We eventually discovered the best way to solve the problem was to unsync and manually skip ahead to the point the rest of us were at.  And yet it still failed to work occasionally.

Despite the problems, I think it was a good time for all.  We had 10 to 15 people show up, and even those who had trouble with the feed had a good time chatting.  Oh, and Neglify drank himself into a coma.

I'm definitely up for doing this again some time.  Maybe even for the world premiere of AOTR...

It was a lot of fun, in spite of the technical glitches.

I like the idea of premiering AOTR this way.
