So you guys didnt make your own dvds B4 star wars was on dvd?  Alot of ppl  on here i bet did, and i bet alot of ppl on here buy star wars bootlegs, when in fact alot of these ppl make covers for bootlegs, like dvds of the star wars the definitive collection on dvd, i get what your both saying but i think a star wars fan, would want to collect all kinds of dvds even bootlegs, i see ppl on here all the time talking about downloading the unaltered trilogy, star wars its self is at war, fans vs. george lucas, so lets not make him money if we can. btw thanks for the heads up, i will not post links to cool bootlegs again. lol

It's more about grammar, proper punctuation and capitalization etc. Also, that's called dyslexia kiddo - and that shouldn't hurt your grammar one bit.

Meh, I wouldn't be up for any kind of grammar filter.  While I too prefer proper spelling and grammar, one of the reasons I've always loved this board is because of how light a touch the rules have.

Well, not a filter - but something in the rules about it. I'm so used to it being common courtesy that anyone who forgets it stands out in a negative way, for me at least.

While it's true that good grammar seems to have gone bye-bye here lately, I agree with Gaff that it's one of the things that is charming about this place.  We also have many ESL posters who shouldn't be expected to use perfect grammar.

Well I own the real dvds, How do i get the 5 star ones without buying them?, cuz i cant download them.

That's a heck-of-a long sentence! :)  Seriously, you need to understand that the ONLY reason this site even exists, is because it enforces rules about profiting from piracy.  There are some truly wonderful projects going on here, and YOU can enjoy participating in them, but only if you follow those rules. You can moan all you want about those rules being unfair, but understand if those rules were not enforced, this site would get shut down VERY quickly. And the most important rule of all is NO exchange of money, EVER.

So, my suggestion, is read up, educate yourself on all the fantastic projects going on here, join in on the discussions, and you'll not only become a part of a wonderful and noble effort, but you'll also make a lot of friends and meet a lot of kindred souls.  AND, you'll also get to see Star Wars in its original theatrical glory.  The various efforts here put those "5 star" videos to shame anyways.

Dark_Jedi is working on a 1997 SE set, but it hasn't been released yet.  When it is, it'll be made known on this site.  And it'll almost certainly be better quality than the "Five Star" bootleg.

I'd advise you to check out the Preservations section of the forum for information on DJ's upcoming 1997 SE set, and his other upcoming restoration of the '77-'83 theatrical cuts (the official DVDs of those are atrocious).

Typically, these projects are made available via torrents, usenet, or Rapidshare.  Many are also willing to mail you physical copies, as long as you either A) send them the blank discs, or B) promise to "pay it forward" - as in, someone sends you the discs, then you copy them and mail them to others who are looking for them.

I can send ppl blank dvds, I want to see some of the bad ass fanedits! lol

I frequently post regional vernacular phrases and the like.

Some people want to create an idiom for themselves and as long as they are being polite and not cursing like a tar, I have no problem with it.

The main point has already been raised, bootlegs, they aren't for sale even if you want them. 

Even so if you spot something legal on ebay that you want people to know about post it on the Memorabilia Discussion and Buying/Selling/Trading board.

This board is for talking about general Star Wars topics.

If you want to talk about the bounteous diverse uses of the English language that sounds like a job for Off Topic Man.
