I know there was someone toying with this Sam Jackson footage at fanedit.org and maybe here too. But I don't know if it was really part of a complete edit or just some test.

The footage is taken from a us tv special hosted by Sam Jackson. I remember he remarks to camera after this scene that he always wanted to fly a ship but never got a chance (or words to that effect.) I think it's on the special features of the Phantom Menace dvd.
