I know they all look the same but I always like the one that tilts his head to the side to dodge laser that Leia shoots at him from the unextended Death Star bridge. He had style.
I think he is the same one thats standing above the one that Leia hits and drops to the deck.

Hand Of JudgmentAt the age of 15 - and to this very day - this is the only Stormtrooper that ever stood out to me. He changed the course of the entire story. He overlooks that tiny piece - they leave the planet. He found it - so our story began.
I love the way the shot is framed - the desolation, the sound, the voice, all of it. A really fantastic scene that has moved me for 34 years.

His name is Waggo Borathyon. According to the EU he was the lost prince of a planet of sky-surfing hunters of giant flying fish. He returned to the Star Destroyer after saying "look sir, Droids" and eventually became enthralled in a conspiracy with an undercover rebel operative and the brain of an ancient Sithlord in a jar. He died 50 years later single handedly holding off part of an extra-galactic invasion by biological sadist aliens. His son is now a Jedi master working the reformed Empire.
See, doesn't the EU make everything cooler!

Surely Waggo also had some past encounter with Han Solo, right?

Good choice. Tatooine Stormtroopers are tough. That one is tough and has good eyes.

Magister Pontifex MaximusI too have a fondness for "Waggo", in the Radio version he identifies the small object he picked up as a plating ring from a droid but the movie version has such a hilarious economy of language.
I can imagine him pointing out some youths with unconventional haircuts and starting an accidental firefight with the line "Look Sir Rebels!".
I would love to read TheBoostiepdia entry on the head bonk Stormtrooper.

I am ready for the trials!I like Davin Felth. According to the EU, he was in the stormtrooper armor corps until he started publicizing weaknesses in the AT-AT and got reassigned to the infantry. I kind of sympathize with his conundrum. You don't want to tell a superior officer that his multi-million dollar system is rendered useless by poor doctrine which said officer probably spent years studying or preaching, but if you don't you're putting your unit and your mission at risk. He's also the "look sir, droids," guy.
TK-421 is also pretty cool.

Pff! Don't make me laugh! We all know that Stormtrooper SF-5329 stole the show! The way he stands... It's so majestic... It's like watching a unicorn stand on top of a mountain while drinking from a goblet filled with the laughter of small children! That was the define moment of my life, seeing him stand, and my God, did he stand...

Nice one, Anchor.
Wasn't there a stormtrooper blaster sound in one mix and then Han's blaster on another? So maybe he did shoot first. ;)

Funny you should mention it, that was once translated here as the machine which drills holes in subtitles. LOL

Dear God. I tried to out-ridiculous the EU and failed. Who would have guessed that "Look Sir, Droids" was in fact the only man in the Empire who noticed that AT-ATs could be tripped by cables, and his career was sandbagged because of it. And later he did become a spy for the Rebellion because he feels spiritual kinship with Han Solo.

Magister Pontifex MaximusThe EU hasn't written a biog on Wilf yet but it's just a matter of time if Daleks can get on Wookiepedia so can Wilf (it's ok it non-canonical).
