I would like to make an ISO or similar type archive of a VCD from 1999. My normal methods have failed. (Mac using Disk Utility and Toast) Have not been able to play the disc in any of my normal mac software. Am learning PC ways of doing this. Tried several programs so far which have fail. Currently attempting with DAEMON Tools Lite which has informed me that the program couldn't create an .ISO as the disc is a multi-session. So considering the .MDX format, which I am unfamiliar with. Would like to the archive to be as universally accessible as possible. Am curious is the .MDX format widely accepted? What are it's merits? Please suggest some other software or formats to consider. Want the archive to be bit perfect if that's possible.

BIN/CUE was the most universal format for VCD (and SVCD) disc images.

Thanks have found VCDEasy: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/VCDEasy
But seems that the PC's i've got access to have newer operating systems (Vista and Win7) which are making VCDEasy think it's non-compliant. The problem stems from VCDEasy requiring not just Windows Media Player, but a specific version.

At the least have the .mdx version, but will spend a few more hours poking around for a workable option.

Trying Isobuster which maybe working. Finding it weird that you have to create the .bin in one operation and .cue in another. Nevermind when you create the .bin, it automates the .cue creation process.

<..>Come to think of it, I think ImgBurn added BIN/CUE compatibility at some point in the last few years. That would be my preference.
I have a few VCDs/SVCDs knocking around (in fact I think I still have DrGonzo's LD capture on three SVCDs somewhere), I could give it a try.

Padawan MonkeyI always used vcdgear for anything related to vcd, it may be worth a try.
