I am getting the Delete and the delete threads mixed up.  Could they be locked so we can get back to business as usual (whatever the heck that is)?

I got a PM from JediTray too; he asked for his account to be removed. He must have got bored waiting for me to log on and read my PMs, and decided to "quit by mod" instead.

He also suggested that he might want to return under the same name in the future. JediTray - if you're reading this - the only way you're going to be able to return to this forum is by using a different name, posting from a new IP address, making no mention of your former identity and being very good at pretending to be someone else.

So he really did abandon his membership, just like he abandoned his projects.  Fascinating.

His penchant for quitting while he's behind is going to make socking difficult for him, I suspect.

JediTray found me on Facebook and my blog. He won't leave me alone, keeps insisting that I ask Moth3r to let him back so he can share a project he's working on. So far I've just been ignoring him.

Suggestions?

I'd say just send a PM to Moth3r saying exactly that and then let nature take its course.  Then, there you go.  You did what you were asked, and you can truthfully tell him you did, and now it's no longer your issue.

But, um... what makes you think he's not going to read this?

Thanks Gaffer. That's what I should have done. Unfortunately, he did read that post and took great offense by my asking for help. I hate to have anyone mad at me for any reason, so this message is for him since I can't respond on FB:

Tray, I didn't know what to do. You stalk me across the internets, begging me to do stuff I have no right or power to do. I'm not in charge of the Facebook group, I hold no sway over Moth3r. You were warned, not to stop abandoning projects, but simply to stop deleting all of your posts when you did. I've abandoned some threads, at least one I'm embarrassed of, but I've never deleted posts.

I was going to wait until I knew what I could do before I responded, but that didn't happen. If you've got a finished project, maybe Moth3r will have cooled down by then. But he seems quick to anger, I don't want to get myself in trouble either.

Complete opposite of that statement

You're not the only person he has contacted asking to be let back on.

But, as I explained to him, the forum software does not give me the option to unban an account, only Jay can do that. And as he seems to be a little bit mental, he's going to have to make a very persuasive argument to Jay before he will be allowed back on the forum.
