There is no "uncut" version. There is only the theatrical version.

Yes there is. At the end of the movie you actually see the head that's pulled out of the box. Also the scene when the guy tied to the bed is discovered is longer.

Sorry. You're mistaken. There is no such thing.

Well, a few years ago I bought seven on dvd. I watched it with my brother. When we saw the "head in box" scene he started laughing. He thought it was funny I bought the censored version. He said he watched the movie before at a friends place (it was recorded from tv) and in that version the head was visible (and some other scenes were longer). I asked him at least 10 times if he was absolutely sure. He said he was.

And there are people who vividly remember seeing a TV broadcast of Star Wars with the Biggs scenes intact. That doesn't mean it's true.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

OK but the biggs scenes are available. I can understand mixing it up when you actually have seen the scene and the movie. But anyway I just called my brother to ask him one last time. He said some 7 or 8 years ago he had the original version on tape. He went to a friend and they watched his friends version (recorded from tv). The scene with the guy tied to the bed was longer and you could see the head in the box at the end of the film (it was not pulled out of the box, that's probably how I remebered it). They agreed to switch their tapes, my brother wanted the hard version, his friend was interested in the original tape. The trade never took place... At the time he was sure about the two different versions. I asked if he could recall the scene. He couldn't. He just remebers they wanted to switch the tapes because of it. So to make a long story short, there probably isn't an extended version. But I'll do my best to get my hands on the tape he was talking about but it probably doesn't exist anymore.

Again...wrong.

There was never a director's cut. There has never been a cut other than what you see. In fact, I believe Fincher had final cut on the movie anyway. There was a SPLIT second of a very close-up shot of Gweneth but that's it. And the head isn't in the box. And I don't know how your brother would remember a few extra seconds about "the guy in the bed" if nothing specific happened in those extra seconds. None of your post makes sense.

Also, the Biggs scenes weren't "released" until a few years ago. Before that, no one had seen them besides the people who had worked on the movie so your theory there doesn't work either.

I never said it's a director's cut. Nothing specific has to happen to know something takes longer. There is no head in the box? Then what do you think is in the box?

Wait... now I'm confused. But through the fog of confusion may I say that being the Fincher leg humper that I am, I can confidently say that dfnyc is right. What your brother is thinking of is simply the split second shot of Gwyneth in Brad's mind's eye that triggers him to sending John Doe bye bye.

AND, being the Fincher leg humper that I am, I would VERY MUCH like to get my hands on a copy of that workprint, Magfan. Any chance of that happening?

The head is in the box. They never show it.

Sorry to break the news to you but no one's talking about Fight Club.

It works. Delete the file it made and restart the torrent. I get that error with Azureus all the time.

erm.. it's not creating a folder. it's just saying that "Error: Torrent File Is Empty" any ideas? My other torrents seems fine.. the hash is just a list of zeros. Seems like a bad torrent.

Hmmm... I've gotten the "File Is Empty" error before. But never what it sounds like you are getting. Usually all I have to do is just back completely out of Azureus, re-download the torrent and start it over. Works every time.

Hmm...i'm sorry that you're having trouble with the torrent. I've only heard one other person (Ash) complain about it. Possibly try another client?

OK but the biggs scenes are available.

At the time this was being claimed, though, they weren't. This was around 1995 or so when more than one person wrote a letter to Star Wars Insider and Steve Sansweet put the debate to rest.

Hey digitalfreaknyc,

I just wanted to drop a line and thank you for this and complain and be envious since I've been sitting on my copy for years and not getting around to doing it. I'm glad you got off your ass and just did it, unlike me. Hell, I didn't even know there were other people doing these fan edits until a few months ago when I discovered myspleen and found out there's a veritable cornucopia to choose from!

Thanks again!
