Hi everyone! I'm another fan of this movie who would LOVE to see the Third Stage Edition, but like so many others I have been unable to locate a valid torrent and I can't find this movie anywhere. I do own the official DVD release and I would be only too happy to supply blanks and postage or whatever else is required in order to get a copy of this, whether as a download or on DVDR. Please contact me if you are willing to help, I would greatly appreciate it!

Well, i would like to watch this cut too. From what i have read it seems to be better than the extended cut from 2006. Where can i get it?

WormWhen I tested a recent burn of the DVD5 version in my Playstation 2 ("fat" model) it came up with green dots all over the menus... but the video played fine (the "green dot madness" distortion also appeared on Adywan's "Empire Strikes Back Theatrical Restoration" disc).

Looks like I'm coming in late to the party, but on another forum some people were discussing the third stage edition, and it caught my interest. Anyone here willing to shoot me a disc of this. I'll supply the disc and postage or pay the cost of that stuff on paypal. I do own the 2005 special edition dvd, so I bought all the material. I'll keep a watch on my pm box. thanks.

Well, I got excited and hopeful, seems BBC America HD showed the Dune Extended version in HD last night. I thought, "Finally, the extended version in HD, maybe now there's some chance I could hope for a Dune Third Stage Edition in HD. But, alas, it was pan and scan and upconverted...oh well :(

Hi all, first of all I have to thank for the project. It's amazing. I've always been a fan of the original Dune. Now with all the impressions I've seen written on this work it will be awesome to review one of my favorite movies of all time!
I did grabbed the links from the fanedit site and tried the avi out. It's strange no one mentions any issues with sound out of sync. Voices don't match when they talk :S
Tried vlc, mpc, windows media player... did anyone had any issue with this? Hope someone can help.

EDIT: While very anxious to watch Phineasbg edit, but with this sound sync problem I manage to find a solution: for those who got / will get the avi, download a tool called YAAI, then resync the sound with -0.60 seconds. Close the editor and click save. Perfect now! (get the xvid codec from koepi's standalone because you'll probably get some error while editing the file)

Downloaded Third Stage Edition about a month ago to watch after seeing miniseries and rewatching my film DVD, but need password to expand archive.
