I think what Molly means is that perhaps it's easier to take a default or sort of standard audio track that is already synced to video (so the First Contact Blu-ray's audio) and sync the DTS Cinema rip to that. Sync it to that, and it'll naturally sync to the video as well. This is how I did it on Jurassic Park 3D and it worked pretty well and was easy.
As we know, the hard part with this DTS project is cutting and splicing the reels together. I continue to try and teach myself how to do this.
Exactly.
That's how I do most of my synchs, and I've done a LOT.

Tauntaun herder-Damn Fool Idealistic CrusaderFinally got the Ronin BD which has a DTS hdma 5.1 track at LD bitrate. I figured since the transfer is outdated maybe it's just a copy of the theatrical/LD audio. There are some others like this, such as the German BD of The Shadow (which has an upcoming US BD release, likely with a remix).

Well then, I guess I'm gonna have to learn that trick. Right now, I am getting ready for a solid synching of DTS audio to DVD video as I had to sell my ST Bluray sets a ways back to help our move. After Sound Forge I'm using Adobe Audition CS6 to separate them in to mono files before taking them in to the DTS-HD Master Suite for final preparation.
We will see what happens. If one of you would like to shoot me a quick tutorial on synching the audio I'll gladly try it out.
Cheers!!!!

I just added "The Shadow" to the list on page 1. I have the 5.1 DTS and Stereo DTS versions.

Dark Jedi KnightI would be willing to help you with the True Lies files, but what would be a good video source to synch it to? at 1 time there was a member here that was going to share the HD video of it with me but never did, sure would have been nice to have that video right now, because this could make a great BD until it officially gets released.

I can do without Cameron's colour timing changes thanks, plus there is no 100% conformation of this just the same rumours the same crap sites have trotted out yearly

I have the DVHS nicely ripped
Can you show some screens? and I still would not mind doing this, and as I said, it is a shame that guy never did share his HD video, oh well, maybe he might if a different member asked, who knows.

Sure thing, it is not perfect but is at least a 14gb file and some grain is on view and at least the colour timing is original and you know he will sort out the really obvious stuntmen in the film plus it somes with with no DNR/ReGrain!
I was going to do some work on it but Robin Hood has stolen my time.

Dark Jedi KnightWhoa! yes that is nice, I was going to say the only video versions of this I have are the letterboxed US DVD and the German Kinowelt Special Edition DVD, but I say what you have blows them away lol, hell yes I am down if you are, but I still have not heard on the Cinema DTS tracks yet, would need these as well to make this really worth the time and effort, so what audio comes with that video?
But then as you said, how then to get the video file.

That's fine, it will only serve as a template, the Cinema DTS would be the main track if it ends up being doable, I wonder if the LD PCM would be worth trying to get?

I've got a DVHS rip but looks like you all beat me to it, and mine is 9GB so yours must be better. It does have a pretty aggressive DTS track though...I think it's a full bit rate rip but I'll have to check when I get home.

Padawan LearnerIf I'm not mistaken, the 14GB file is on HD-Bits but since they aren't doing new sign-ups or offerring invites you have to know someone there with a membership. :( :(
I'm also glad to see something I've got might come in handy for a project.

Dark Jedi KnightWell it all just talk for now, I do not have either the video file or the DTS files, so hopefully when these show up, if they do, then we can start putting something together.

What how where when?? Did you manage to find the theatrical discs or extract the LD audio? This is exciting news, I've long wondered how the original tracks compared to their Dolby and remixed counterparts.
I just noticed that many on the first page are listed as found. Wow, this is really taking off.
