Laserdisc Master@Jonno:
this is the "Dolby Fanfare" trailer; I downloaded it, but as you pointed out, it was jerky and I deleted it... THANK YOU very much for your fixing!
Dolby Stereo and SR are very welcome - even if they are 480p, if they are different from the ones I have, I'll use them anyway.
@digitalfreaknyc:
yes, please, take a look and let me know if something is missing.
UPDATE:
I found "Curious George Dolby Digital" trailer, but the quality is awful... I'd prefer to use a better version - if someone has it, please post the link.
OT:
if someone is "Curious as George" enough to download these trailers (9MB all), then post some comments here...

these are test "trailers" I'd like to use for this project, as well as others... I think to put one of them at the beginning, or after the end, of restoration projects.
I made five different trailers just for fun! I like best "a", and also "d" is interesting; I'm happy you spent some of your times to review them.
I changed a bit the music and effects, and uploaded at 720p - if you want to take a look at these versions, you'll find that they have a better audio/video quality.
Here you are the tentative names of the trailers, with the download links:

a = FALLING PEOPLE (download)

b = WHITE CORRIDOR (download)

c = MATRIX CITY (download)

d = LINKED SPHERES (download)

e = RUNNING LINES (download)
UPDATE:
As I supposed, the Dolby Digital trailers on laserdiscs ARE different than the ones on DVDs: apart the same versions, there are also some "Dolby Surround AC3 Digital" instead the usual "Dolby Digital" logo at the end.
Also, the THX Broadway logo exists in different versions... while the video is the same, apart duration, audio soundtracks are different in duration, pitch and volume increasing - I captured and converted at least four different versions: PAL PCM, NTSC AC3, NTSC PCM, NTSC DDEX.

Laserdisc MasterLATEST UPDATE:
Take a look at these trailers:
THX - BROADWAY 2013 (8MB)
THX - JURASSIC (DTS) (13MB)
Please download them and let me know if I should add'em to the project.

Better audio on the ones I didn't like makes it a closer call, eg c. Matrix City is better but for me d. Linked Spheres still edges it as my favourite.
As for the THX trailers, I'm not sure. Are they 'proper' trailers? How many versions of Broadway are there?! I don't like the Jurassic Park trailer - the dialogue/roar over the Broadway noise doesn't work - it's just grating.

They are not official trailers, I've done it. The first, Broadway 2013, is just an homage to the classic Broadway found on laserdisc, done for THX's 30 years; I've done the second after I did the first and then I saw the "Bounty" official THX trailer... I'm not satisfied myself for the audio - I'm a complete noob at audio editing - but what about video?

I'm probably not the right person to ask as I'm only watching them on a laptop but they seem 'clean'. Having said that, that's based on what I can see; I don't know if it's because they're mts or the bit rates on some of them are high or what but on both THX trailers and a couple of the others, the video is only becoming viewable about half way in. Your call but I would be inclined to just include official trailers and add your preferred test trailer at the start/end.
Another unaccounted for trailer (and it's very doubtful you'll get it) is the DTS water drop trailer. Apparently it's very similar to Imagine Films' intro logo, and they took issue with it resulting in DTS pulling the trailer. Instead we got the Sonic Landscape trailer.

When I play them onto my PC with Media Player Classic, they start some seconds after I opened the files, but from the beginning; if I use VLC, they start almost immediately, but the audio is from the beginning, while video become visible after 8-10 seconds... the same for all my m2ts file - I'm sure it's not because the filetype, but because the m2ts file I use are AVC - H.264, "heavy" codec for oldest computers...

I think to add them in a proper section, "unofficial", along with the Star Wars one, after all the others... I also thought to start a thread, "post your unofficial/custom made DD DTS THX trailer"... what do you think?

I'm aware of it, and also asked a person to scan the actual film print... still waiting his anwer...

Great project Andrea, can't wait to see the results. I found these Dolby Stereo trailers on YouTube a few years ago. They are circa late 1970s into the 80s, same era as the Mancini trailer (great trailer). Not great quality but there you go:

Laserdisc MasterPDB, thanks a lot! It's a vintage trailer that must NOT be NOT included in this project! (double negation = an assertion)
It will be included along with the Mancini trailer (Dolby Fanfare).

I love this trailer. I persuaded one of the guys who uploaded it to Youtube to send me his VHS - I recaptured this and two other similar Dolby trailers for a higher quality preservation. Sadly his tape was a second generation copy, so even though I've cleaned up some particularly noisy frames there's still an obvious VHS 'shimmer', but I think my versions are about as good as they currently get (and they sound great on a surround system):
Dolby Stereo Feature Presentation
Dolby Stereo for Your Listening Pleasure
Dolby SR for Your Listening Pleasure
(_,,,^..^,,,_ , I'll arrange to upload uncompressed versions of these for your project. They're all 480p).

That's exactly it. I use VLC too. At least it's consistent then.
Putting them in their own section makes sense to me. I don't know if there'd be enough interest in a specific thread for custom audio format trailers but who's to say...
Interesting. Well you got the CDS trailer(s?) so most things seem possible!
As I'm sure you're aware there's also a Dolby SR logo'd version of Fanfare. Logically the real trailer is/was SR encoded but as the Dolby Stereo version you have from Jonno (good job on the fix and the other trailers) doesn't have the original audio either it's probably a moot issue.

Pa pa, pa pa, pa pa, pa pa, pa pa paIndeed - given that the SR advantage is one of fidelity rather than channel separation, a home viewing version needs only sound good enough (though it's interesting to note that this high quality copy of Fanfare is the only one I've seen that doesn't have the SR logo at the end).
Now, what I'd really like to see is a logo for 70mm 6-track stereo. I've no idea if one was ever made, but for my own amusement I put my own together using the audio from one of the Dolby trailers. If you have a section for unofficial clips I guess you may want to include it...

Laserdisc MasterJonno, I like the "vintageness" of your custom trailer; as I wrote before, I'll make also an unofficial/custom section, and I surely add your trailer!
If you have made others, post them here please.

Just a note...
Playing around with some DTS LaserDiscs tonight, and both GoldenEye and Independence Day's have the non zoomed DTS digital experience trailer, and both are in scope.
Very lovely both of them.
