Better a bad bomb than a bombadSo... in September DC Comics is kinda relaunching/reimagining/rebooting/renumbering all of their long running superhero comics.
This is the new JUSTICE LEAGUE!!!

I'm no graphic designer... but how lame is this? A bold new relaunch of iconic characters (and the pros and cons can be debated for days... and why the hell is Superman wearing armor?) but basically the bottom line is they all look alike.
V-neck? Check. Pointy boot top? Check. Extra seams? Check. Belt pointing at your crotch? 6/7.
Why do hip/modern redesigns of something, just to make things homogenized and bland? Should space-cop Green Lantern and King-of-Atlantis Aquaman really look like they shop in the same catalog?

I aim to misbehave.I never cared for any DC comics.
Marvel already has most of my attention and most of my money.
Unless I hear incredibly great things I don't think this will get me into them.

Just a simple man.DC would have nothing if it didn't have Batman as far as I'm concerned.
Marvel fo lyfe.
Also: Been reading and loving the KOTOR comics again. Checked out some Moon Knight stuff, too, as well as some Batmans - Hush was amazing, and Year One was also great. Oh, and the Arkham Asylum comic.

Just a simple man.Meh. Superman never really did anything for me. Watchmen was okay, but then I only ever saw the movie.
I've honestly not been a big comics person up until a friend of mine got into it a few months back (yes, that recently) and I would read his books after he finished them, but I did always feel like DC had lamer heroes. I dunno why or where that came from, but that's how it's always been in my mind.
Always did like Spawn, though. It'd be neat to start from #1 there.
I also recently read the Boba Fett: Blood Ties comic, and the more recent Fett comic one-off, the name of which I forget. Been following Tobar's postings of the old Star Wars newspaper comics, too. Star Wars: Invasion is also good. And I haaaate the Vong-era stuff generally. I'd like to start Dark Times, as well.

Ce n'est pas DuracellEnergizerWatchman the comic was readable, though incredibly depressing. I don't hate it, but I will never ever read it again.
Watchman the movie was lame with inappropriately used music. I am utterly indifferent to it, and I will never ever watch it again.
...
P.S. Silver Age Superman sucks.
God doesn't think in terms of black or white - or even shades of gray - but in big, bright, bold hues of blue and orange.

While I can't compete with the picture (very nice, BTW) I can agree with the sentiment.
I do have a pinch of Supes in there too.

Then you've experienced Watchmen about as much as someone has experienced Batman by only watching the Joel Schumacher films.

of Earth.I thought that Watchmen was a pretty decent adaptation. Just this morning I heard someone else dismissing it.
I think the movie ending may actually (literally) be my preferred ending... though I'm still thinking about that.
