Ah, thanks bkev, I didn't know TCM just upscaled. By the way, did anyone ever make an NTSC version of the British Citizen Kane with the better video transfer?

Yeah actually there was a non-Lowry touched version in the UK. They used a different film print if I remember correctly and of course they had the sense not to put a ridiculous amount of DVNR like Lowry did it in its early days. I haven't seen it but the grain structure is supposedly intact and the picture looks very good. Here's a review on DVD Beaver comparing it with the American edition. Has anyone or does anyone want to do an NTSC conversion for this fine release?
