I made a slap bet with my friend Cory over a comment that he made and I won the bet. Now I can slap him 3.5 times until New Years Eve and to make things worse for him I'm going to add psychological warfare and scare tactics to make his experience much worse (yes I'm evil). I am going to record all of the slaps on video and post them on youtube and and I'm going to be appropriately naming the videos "The Slap Wars Trilogy". Can someone here make an opening crawl using the text I am about to post below for me? It would be much appreciated.
Slap Wars Episode I: The Slapping Menace
The war of slaps has begun! Cory Wilson in an act of utter idiocy has lost a slap bet to Anakin and from now til eternity Anakin can slap Cory 3.5 times when ever he likes, this is truly a dark day for Cory.
Little does Cory know that on November 28th better known as Slapsgiving he will be getting slapped. The black on his face will surely be getting slapped off.
Terrified by this fact, Cory will try to hide as a roach does, but Anakin's hand will not rest until the slap is dealt. And when this slap is dealt it will spell certain doom for Cory's face...

"darth endeor was a meanyhead" - FatherSkywalker, et al--QFTThere are guides on how to make a crawl with Windows Movie Maker (not Windows Live Movie Maker, where they removed the ability). Just use 2.6 or higher, and there is a way to make a simple crawl. Since this isn't exactly a high quality production, using a lower end crawl shouldn't be a big deal.

Do you have access to Adobe Illustrator or After Effects? I'd happily supply a template that you could use if you are able to layout the text yourself. Only thing is it's set to render for non-anamorphic 2.35:1 4k at 24fps. It's all setup though, you'd only need to modify the Illustrator templates to fit your plan and render it out.

If you don't, I can probably do a quick job with the logo and crawl text and render however you need it, though the starfield get's really washed out on YouTube and I really don't have plans to go the effort of setting up a new one.

So I was bored and put it together, with minor edits to the crawl text to make it fit within my template. No motion blur on the render save for the logo zoom in, since I didn't want to lose an entire day on my computer, though if you have After Effects, I can send you the folder to render yourself with motion blur, but here's a link. It's rendered at 30fps, 16:9 1080p, with the assumption this is for YouTube and and won't be shot in 2.35. It has a pan down to a stylized Earth, so if you're shooting on Mars or something, you're shit out of luck. If you want, I can re-render it at full 4k resolution un-cropped or something though. If you ever to future videos in this series, I'd be happy to make another, though I suggest mimicking the writing of an existing crawl, particularly A New Hope upon which my template is based in terms of key framing (It messes with the exit of the crawl if you go longer) in terms of character/word count per paragraph and capitalization. I didn't do this when I wrote mine, and looking back, it bothers me looking at the actual crawls with 4 words per line, and then my version with 6-8 words. It's kinda crazy how the crawl spend an entire minute on maybe 3 or 4 short sentences.

This contains the updated fractal noise settings for the star field. If you prefer the YouTube version with tiny stars, let me know and I can send you that link.
It's 2.35 4094x1742 and 24fps, so be sure to set it to 30fps on the two compositions if you plan to use it on YouTube. (It's based off the Blu-ray ANH crawl). My advice for crawls is aim for 4 words per line, and try and have exactly as many lines or less than the ANH crawl has or you will need to mess with the projects fade out and path for the crawl which kinda of just end instead of go on forever (To be honest they still probably need tweaking). If enough people are interested I might try and retool it for 16:9 projects so it's not quite so harsh on cropping.
If you needed, I could also provide 4k project files for the Lucasfilm logo, and the Fox logo 4k 2.35 video w/ or w/o grain and color grading (Which I warn got copyright warnings (Later they revoked the claim when contested)).
