Magister Pontifex MaximusSome of Fanfiltration's links are more David Ike than others but the one on here was legitimate. It's not like he blamed the US for the Iranian earthquake or anything.
Going by some of the contributors to threads like these I'm surprised the Liberals haven't been got at for trying to take away right wingers pressure cookers.

Jedi KnightI guess that depends on how you frame the argument, but I feel that is bending a bit to placate a theory that comes from someone who is abritrarily paranoid about anything. I'm sure even Alex Jones is correct .05% of the time, in that "see what sticks" sense. Mel Gibson made an entire movie based on that.

I got into hot water last week when I reminded people that Bin Laden denied direct involvement in 9/11.
He approved but didn't claim any credit until later and possibly as a body double.
Most of these sort of things aren't done by an 'organisation' but more a small group with a loose affiliation to the manifesto of a terror guru.

Personally, my point is that there really isn't any reason to begin with the assumption that Al Queda or another Muslim terrorist organization has anything to do with it.
how the fact they have attacked us before and have threatened to so again?
and I didn't assume, I guessed.

-but frankly I'm tiring of Islamophobia, and automatically pointing the finger at "middle eastern terrorists"
is not Islamophobia to suspect a terrorist organization might be responsible for a terrorist attack.
zombie84 said. Middle eastern terrorists have almost never harmed Americans on American soil compared to fellow Americans doing terrible things like shooting up schools and military bases, so I don't know why people continue to automatically assume it's the handiwork of people from the middle east when there is no evidence to suggest as much and documented history that would more likely lead one to believe it's a fellow citizen. Every time something bad happens people blame "terrorists", which they really mean middle easterners since that is who they are picturing when they say that word, but almost every single time that turns out to not be the case.
here's why:
and there is a BIG difference between assuming something, suspecting something, and guessing something.

Looks like the Saudi man didn't do it, as I suspected. But I find it interesting that the article says also notes that finger pointing is also leveled at right wing extremists. Remembering that I'm fairly middle ground, it seems like the media always tends to assume that only right wingers would even commit violence. I don't really care, but if it's such a crime to blame Islamic extremists, why is it okay to blame right wing white American Protestants with equally little corroborating evidence?

There were a couple more interviewed on the news shown here that also mentioned hat they were told it was just a training exercise before the explosions happened.
I can't find that exact clip but it was shown over here and the guy was shouting out, so it wasn't doctored. The same question was asked during one of the other press conferences and this video is direct from the news, not recorded off the TV:
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2013/04/bombing-truther-crashes-boston-press-conference.html
the thing is that it is most likely just a sad coincidence, but the conspiracy theorists will have a field day over this. But then they could find a conspiracy on a dog turn on the pavement.

Magister Pontifex MaximusIt is weird how often these things correspond with a training exercise but I guess everyone is training for everything everyday so it must be a coincidence.

it makes sense. In this post 911 world, they need to be prepared for anything.

I think the differences in sensitivity levels is largely due to all the attacks and hate crimes done against white people after Newton, Aurora, Columbine, and Oklahoma City.
