A victim of Lucasfilm's desire to give every freaking background character a backstory.I kinda feel like I've derailed this thread with all this talk about the merits of Prequels so think I should direct everyone who wishes to continue the discussion over here:
As for Blade Runner, it's a film with a very specific style that I don't believe can be replicated by a modern day Sequel or Prequel. However, this move has very little to do with the artistic merit of extending the franchise and a lot to do with the business side of ensuring the rights to Blade Runner don't expire. This is why the news has been greeted negatively by the vast majority of fans.
Your brain just makes s**t up!
A fate worse than death? Having your head digitally replaced with that of Hayden Christensen!

Better a bad bomb than a bombadI was thinking about this.
IF "Blade Runner" needs to be franchised, I'd like to see 4-6 ambitious directors given a shot to make an anthology film. Each short film could be a different nook of the amazing "Blade Runner" Los Angeles.
Just thoughts that might be neat to see.

That's theBoost's calling card.
I've been trying to rehabilitate him for years, but... I'm done trying to change TheBoost. Now I just let him move right through me on his way to you.
IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!
