TheThirdGathers: If you can't extract all of the scenes from the DVD directly, but can still play them, is it possible to just play the DVD on your computer, while recording the audio with a recording software? The video part isn't a problem if you can grab the audio from the DVD. All you'd need is to swap the BoTW audio into a working version of the film.

So we finally got a chance to take another crack at this now that school's over. Sorry about not doing this on spring break. Great news, we got all of it off except for one scene at the end. He'll be sending me the clips sometime in the next few days, and also see if we can't get that last scene before he goes to Italy for the summer. Sorry it took this long, but I guess law school is time consuming, who knew?

Apparently there's some of the same audio/visual problems with these ones, just like last time, along with one where the edges of the video were cropped out. So some of the clips will have to be re-uploaded.

Ahhh this is wonderful. It really feeds off of how serious the movie, once thought they might be. Grand Dramedy. It's like watch tv Godzilla dubbed movies in the early 80s but twisted and eeev ...well not evil... something more elusive.
Almost want to fan-edit out all the establishing shots and action sequences. Get back to the dialog damn it!

@None: Yes, I've seen the original Episode 3 now and one thing that struck me was how the one or two "humorous" moments seemed pretty forced (no pun intended.) It's a movie that takes itself pretty seriously, and having it turned into this absurdity is probably more funny, especially since lines like... what was it Obiwan said to the trooper before he goes to that planet? I don't remember. I wonder if an original funny movie would be as funny.
Also, it's cool how it's this totally alien universe with some familiar elements, and the dialog in BOTW is also familiar yet alien. In a way, this is more of a pure sci-fi experience than the original.

All of the lines that barely make sense sound strangely poetic. Most of this movie is literary genius. Once the rest is uploaded, I'll officially be able to name this my favorite movie. Nothing can match this.

You're talking about the yellow words that go into space, right?
I'm checking out the subtitled version now...
You'd need to be able have that blue skinny font for the "Long time ago in the faraway galaxy" part (note the lack of ellipses.)
Then you just need to remove the "S" from "WARS" in "STAR WARS."
Then change "Episode III" to "The third gathers" and change "Revenge of the Sith" to "The backstroke of the west" (note the lack of capitalization.)
Then, "The war came! The republic encountered" etc.
I wouldn't have the first clue how to do this, but I'm sure there are many experts here who would. Go for it! :)
