Yeah Bitch, Spoilers!

Since Breaking Bad is now on the home stretch I figured it might be nice to have a one stop thread for us to post thoughts, theories and such.

Are you BBaddicted?

So we're 2 episodes deep into the final 8 and the end is coming fast. I've been talking with friends about how we think it's going to end - Purely for fun, we'll probably all be way wrong.

At first I was like -

Walt is probably buying that M60 to go up against Hank and Co.

But then I was like -

If he really has gone full Heisenberg then it's probably equally likely that he is going after former associates like Todd (aka Meth Damon) and Lydia. Erase anyone with links to Heisenberg.

I've been re-watching the flash-forwards looking for any hints /clues that I hadn't noticed before.

In the first clip I noticed that he looks bald ( the classic Heisenberg look) in the id that he shows to the waitress so he has at least been using the id (or planning to use it) before he grew his hair out.

previous observation - he leaves a $100 tip for a free meal - that he didn't even eat.

In the second clip I just assumed at first that he was just trying to recover the ricin for fear of someone finding it - and having left town in a hurry but now it seems like he may be planning on using it.

it's a bit hard to tell because I'm not sure if we are looking at Walt or Heisenberg.

if it really is his birthday then a lot can have happened since most of the series has taken place over the course of a year.

I'm also watching Talking Bad which has been a good bit of fun so far and is a good wind down after the seriousness of BB. Apparently Samuel L Jackson will be on next week.

Even as far as Walt has fallen, and as much as he has done to unintentionally hurt his family, I can't imagine him setting out to physically harm Hank.

My thoughts are the M60 is to tie up loose ends related to Todd and Lydia, and that the ricin might be his personal exit strategy.

But, you don't need an M60 to take out just a couple of people. Obviously whatever is about to go down is pretty big...

Walt's neighborhood looks like a ghetto slum in the flash forwards, yet in present times he lives in a really nice middle class neighborhood. What could happen in a year to make a neighborhood drop like that?

I'm actually really fond of brasier sizes, usually i reqest at least a DD at a minimum, but i am flexible.

I got scarred for life in Thiland 18 months back though, when i seen the extras that came with me being "flexible" at the time.

I've become quite good at saving up whole seasons of TV and then watching them all in one hit, but I can't do it with Breaking Bad. So I guess I'm a BBaddict. But I refuse to inhale any speculation!

Okay, so my prediction of what is happening in the flash forward hasn't really changed, but I feel much more sure of it now.

The machine gun is to tie up loose ends, Todd and his new Nazi buddies threatening the lives of Walt's family. He has to be sure they'll all be safe when he's gone. The ricin is to take Marie's advice and kill himself (which I predict will be prevented somehow).

Or maybe the show is so well crafted, it wants me to jump to these conclusions and is going to toss us in an entirely different direction. I've never been able to guess what was going to happen next with this show before. The neo-Nazi casual wiping blood off his shoe as if it were nothing is to let us know he's a real threat, and Marie's telling Walt the only option is to kill himself seems too obvious when coupled with the flash forwards of Walt acquiring a machine gun and then retrieving the dose of deadly poison. These are the obvious reasons for the gun and the ricin, and the show has never been that obvious (has it?).

RE: BBaddicts!

We seem to be in sync on that, at least for the moment..

Did you notice in the "Kill Yourself" scene that Marie was not wearing Purple?

oh yeah, And Future Walt is wearing a green jacket - Both Jesse and Todd have worn jackets like that..

We KNOW that Walt takes on mementos or traits of people whose deaths he feels responsible for.

Just remembered while re-watching 5x11 as Todd is wering one such jacket at the diner.

Maybe he already dealt with Todd and Lydia, and is now moving forth to go to war against an army of neo-Nazis.

The Rutles were in Edinburgh last night to talk about their trousers.

I went to see them but was perturbed by the 'Walterwhite-alike' in the audience.

I half expected something horrible to happen, possibly involving improvised explosives.

Wow, shit's getting real. We know what Walt will survive this firefight / confrontation which means that the odds of Hank surviving are slim..

Only 3 episodes to go -

Ozymandias -

Granite State -

New Hampshire is a state in the New England region of the northeastern United States of America. The state was named after the southern English county of Hampshire. It is bordered by Massachusetts to the south, Vermont to the west, Maine and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Canadian province of Quebec to the north. New Hampshire is the 5th smallest and the 9th least populous of the 50 United States.

Its license plates carry the state motto: "Live Free or Die". The state's nickname, "The Granite State", refers to its extensive granite formations and quarries.

So they've referenced NH a few times and Future Walt stated he was driving from there to ABQ. In His NH driver's license picture Walt is bald, Future Walt has a full head of hair. Seems like it might have been an ideal place to lay low for a while.

Felina - All I can tell at this point is that it's an anagram of Finale.

Also, this was pretty cool - make sure you watch the whole thing! - I hope it makes it's way onto the BBBlurays. [sic]

RE: BBaddicts!

Do I need to write spoilers??  OK, SPOILERS

Is ricin for lydia?  She is certainly a villain but from Walt's perspective I dont know how he would know that.  From what I have read ricin takes days to kill you and it's quite painful.  I am sure Walt is full of self-loathing in the flash forward but it doesnt seem like a great exit plan if intended for himself.

I cant decide if he is going after the aryans just for revenge for Hank or if he found out they made jesse a cook slave and it is a rescue mission.  Maybe he only discovers jesse when he gets there and sacrifices himself to save jesse.  I think since the aryans let him go I cant picture them targeting the white family for any reason.

This episode was heartbreaking from start to finish, all of walt's rationalizing his terrible actions and talking his way out of everything came to a tragic end.  His goodbye call to skyler was about all I could take, give cranston the emmy now. Part of me wonders if the next two episodes largely leave the white family out, what else is there to wrap up?  I think walt understands now that he has destroyed everything and he cant be redeemed.

it's remarkable how much this show makes you love and hate just about each character.

I can't even think of any words to describe that last episode.

Wow!

Now more than ever I am really happy I've been watching this show the last few years. Discovering it years later and having all the episodes laid out before me with no waiting along with impossible to dodge spoilers and references on the internet, it just wouldn't have been the same.

Continuing SPOILERS

Leaving the baby in the firetruck stuck out to me as much as the goodbye to Skyler. Breaking his phone and leaving his daughter behind, it was kind of the last step in letting go of his family, the whole entire reason he started doing all this stuff in the first place gone.

Can't believe we only have two episodes left.

:(

Damn. I thought things were intense before that episode.

I was hooked right from the opening. They always manage to amaze with with their flashbacks / flashforwards.

I too cannot decide whether I think future Walt is on a revenge mission or a rescue mission.

At first it seemed like he planned to take Holly with him, I'm glad he didn't. Running off with her certainly got their attention, but we know he has unfinished business. at least in his own mind.
