My four year old daughter calls C3PO "The Golden Man", and Vader is called "The Big Meanie" (quite accurate really). Chewbacca is Chewmacca.
All the other characters she ignores except Yoda (she has a cuddly toy version of him). Mind you she has only ever managed to watch a few snippets of the OT.
I know there is footage of a young girl describing C3PO as "The Shiny guy" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBM854BTGL0
Any other examples of alternate names for the characters?

Ce n'est pas DuracellEnergizerI used to call Darth Vader Dark Vader when I was a kid before I was corrected - by the movies or my school classmates, I'm not sure which.
God doesn't think in terms of black or white - or even shades of gray - but in big, bright, bold hues of blue and orange.

Son of the SunsI called Darth Vader Lord Vader, I didn't know that lord meant and thought it was his name. My mom corrected me and it took a little time to get used to Darth, LOL.
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

In Mexico is quite common for kids to call R2 "Arturito" which means Little Arthur.

legendary but little-known Jedi MasterI always thought that "Greedo" should be "Grido" - pronounced the same but spelled differently in the subtitles. So that his greed would be more implicit than explicit.
