Mr. Pontifex MaximusI'm sorry if this is well known to readers of this thread but after seeing some of the beautiful images here : http://vincentwardfilms.com/concepts/alien-3/unrequited-visio/
I thought it would be an interesting project for future consideration to animate these and/or others based on the designs we know of and mix them with a reading of Vincent Ward's Alien 3 script to create an animated storyboard of the film that never was.
I'm pretty busy with my Dracula project at them moment but if there is enough interest by the time I've finished I'd joyfully help with such a venture.
If it turned out to be a success maybe the other scripts could be given a similar treatment.
Ward's seemed to be the most developed so it made sense to start there.
Still Collating.

here's some money, go see a star warDigital Bits review of the new Blu-ray set, which amongst other things confirms that the colour timing on the two versions of Alien is different:

(I've got this set now, and the transfers on the first two films are extraordinary.)

Padawan LearnerFunny thing about this thread....I just walked out of a thrift store with 2 VHS copies of the "Making of Alien 3" doco that lasts about 20 minutes.....I don't know if this is included on any of the DVD/ upcoming Blu-ray releases but I thought it'd be nice to have if it wasn't....and for $1.00, who could complain, really.
:)
