Hey, all of my thread subscriptions have been deleted. I know I didn't do that. Is there some behind-the-scenes work going on that would have caused this?

Your e-mails kept bouncing back to the admin e-mail account (mine).

I'm posting the beta tonight after work

Expect it to launch officially on fanedits.com in a week or two and then on ot.com a couple weeks after that.

*one month and a few days later*
A boy takes the bus home from school, and goes on his favorite star-wars themed board, only to find that Jay has yet again seemingly forgotten that they're all waiting for the new forum software
;D

I've used the new forum software - it does exist, it's not vapourware.
It looks good and works pretty well, too. The beta has a few bits missing, but it's clear that it's going better than the FuseTalk software that ot.com currently uses. When these bugs in the initial beta are ironed out, the public launch will take place first at
fanedits.com, with the ot.com forums being swapped on to the new system some time later.
I get the feeling it's close, but Jay has said he has some personal stuff going off at the moment (I don't know anything beyond that).
Be patient - the software doesn't make a forum, it's the people who participate.

I propose that we give this new software a name. I suggest either "Duke Nukem Forever" or "Chinese Democracy".
