The sequel to Star Wars: Renascent (2011). Part II will focus on the storyline of the Empire Strikes Back with flashbacks to the first half of Revenge of the Sith.
“The Empire Strikes Back: Renascent” is the second of a three-part fan-edit which tells the story of Luke and Anakin Skywalker, simultaneously. The three films will mainly follow the storyline of the Original Trilogy and will have flashbacks to the Prequel Trilogy. It will feature new scenes, altered story lines, and will also feature some new music, which is why it’s a rebirth or a Renascence. This project was first started by two other fan-editors and it is being edited off of the Blu-ray release of the Prequel Trilogy and adywan’s edits of the Original Trilogy."
Edited in 1080p and 5.1 Surround Sound

You say ESB without telling us if it begins where it typically does, or when in ESB when it goes back to ROTS. Maybe I'm reading it wrong? And there were a couple of instances of this. Regardless, good luck on the edit!
I recommend a different poster as it kind of lets the cat out of the bag (aren't we all supposed to be pretending this is a surprise?).
Please consider putting a audio option for us stereo viewers.
I've got the upmost respect for what you are attempting to do but the sound mix for the first part really doesn't play well through conventional television speakers or headphones (though I expect it's top drawer in fancy surround sound).
All my hopes.

Sorry about that - those are mainly just notes for me (so I know exactly what goes where). I just thought I'd post it for now so people could see the progress so far.

I'll for sure be doing a Stereo option as well. Also, The poster looks weird now that my monitor is s little better. I'm going to adjust the poster soon.
As someone who indeed loved your original Star Wars: Renascent, I can't wait for this! It sounds fantastic. I'm sure that even the ROTS segments will be enjoyable.
What do you plan to use as a base for ESB? Will you wait for Revisited to come out or use a theatrical version like Harmy's?
That's the plan, yes. Keep in mind that this will be a 1080p edit primarily, so the ESB scenes will be upscaled, but the ROTS scenes will be native with some colour correction this time around.
I plan on doing these resolutions:
Bluray 1080p (50GB)
Bluray 720p (25GB)
DVD 480p (10GB)
And I'll probably just do a 720p MKV.
Here's a quick scheduling update:
MARCH:
A short-film I wrote last year has been selected for production and I'm Directing that - hopefully shooting it at the end of the month.
I'm also working with two clients for editing and graphic design.
Hopefully I can get started on No Country for Gunmen
APRIL:
Post-Production on my short film.
Another production I was doing has to be reshot because the lab tried developing COLOUR 16mm film with chemicals meant for B/W film. So that and a commercial I'm working on are taking up my month of April.
Hopefully I can finish No Country for Gunmen
MAY:
I have a move at the beginning of the month to a place still unknown (depends on work). On the 7th I have a surgery which takes about two-weeks for me to get full recover. I should be able to get back to full-force fan-editting during my second week of recovery through the end of the summer.
Hopefully I can start SMALLVILLE: Superman
JULY/AUGUST 2012
Hopefully I can start Tron: Liberty and get it done by the end of 2012
EARLY 2013
The Empire Strikes Back: Renascent
AND THEN...
All Harry Potter Films
Return of the Jedi: Renascent
All of the Avengers films (including Iron Man, TIH, CA, Thor, etc)
Hopefully that'll clear things up a bit. But yeah, next stop: No Country for Gunmen!
EDIT: Here are the formats I'll be doing
Bluray 1080p (50GB)
Bluray 720p (25GB)
DVD 480p (8GB)
MKV 720p
Thanks for the schedule, Asteroid-Man. I look forward to seeing all you various works/edits. Out of curiosity, do you think a BD-25 can only support a 720p movie? Wouldn't it be able to use a 1080p version with a reduced bitrate? Anyway, it's your decision, but, in my experience, I'm able to fit about 2 hours in good full 1080p quality on a BD-25.
I plan on having a fully interactive menu, so I'm not sure. We'll have to see.
