THE COVERS AND DISC ART FOR THE EDITS WILL BE A SEPERATE CONTEST. SO, THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT HAVE ARTWORK TO GO WITH YOUR EDITS CAN REST EASY. IT WILL NOT COUNT AGAINST YOUR EDIT GRADE. HOWEVER, THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE HAVING SOMEBODY ELSE DO ARTWORK FOR YOUR EDITS NEED TO PM ME, SO THAT I KNOW WHO IS DOING IT. THE BEST ARTWORK WILL WIN AN ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER ONE SHEET OF MY CHOOSING AS IT'S COMING FROM MY PRIVATE COLLECTION. THE ONE SHEETS ARE VALUED FROM $100-$500.






TO SUBMIT A PROJECT TO THE CONTEST ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SEND ME A PM OR CHECK MY PROFILE FOR MY EMAIL ADDRESS. FROM THERE YOU WILL RECEIVE ALL OF THE INFORMATION THAT YOU WILL NEED TO SEND IN YOUR EDIT.


THE PRIMARY CONTEST IS FOR ANY MOVIE EDITS THAT YOU HAVE DONE OR WILL DO FOR THIS CONTEST.

THE SECONDARY CONTEST WILL BE FOR EDITS OF THE FOLLOWING: EDIT THE MATRIX RELOADED AND REVOLUTIONS INTO ONE MOVIE, EDIT ALEXANDER, OR EDIT KILL BILL VOL. 1 & 2 INTO ONE MOVIE. YOU MAY PICK ANY ONE OF THE THREE.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ENTER BOTH CONTESTS. YOU MAY ENTER EITHER ONE. IF YOU'RE REALLY UP FOR A CHALLENGE ENTER BOTH.

WHAT SOME OF YOU DON'T KNOW IS THAT WHEN THIS SITE CHANGES OVER I WILL MOVE MY DVD REVIEW COLUMN OVER TO THE NEW START UP PAGE. YET ANOTHER THING THAT YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW IS THAT THROUGH MY COLUMN AND ORIGINALTRILOGY.COM I WILL HAVE TWO CONTESTS STARTING FOR FAN EDITS. THE CONTEST WILL RUN AT THE SAME TIME. THE FIRST CONTEST WILL CONSIST OF FAN EDITS THAT CONTESTANTS HAVE MADE EITHER BEFORE THE CONTEST STARTS OR FOR THE CONTEST. THEY WILL BE JUDGED ON THEIR DVD COVER, DISC LABEL, SOUND QUALITY AND PICTURE QUALITY, AND THE EDIT ITSELF. THE SECOND CONTEST WILL CONSIST OF THE JUDGES CHOOSING A FILM FOR THE CONTESTANTS TO EDIT. THESE WILL BE JUDGED THE SAME WAY AS IN THE FIRST CONTEST. THE WINNERS OF THE CONTESTS WILL RECEIVE COOL PRIZES FROM THE PRIZE VAULT. I ALMOST FORGET ABOUT SOMETHING. THE FAN EDIT DVD WILL ALSO BE JUDGED ON SPECIAL FEATURES. WE WANT THESE DVDs TO LOOK AND FEEL BETTER THAN ANYTHING THAT HOLLYWOOD CAN PUT OUT.

This is something I've been wondering, how closely does Lucasfilm watch these boards?

THEY WATCH THEM FROM TIME TO TIME. HOWEVER, EVERYBODY DOING FAN EDITS ON HERE ARE NOT SELLING THEM.

BTW, WE WILL BE ACCEPTING ANY FAN EDIT. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE STAR WARS RELATED.

DAYV, I think he just meant things like the X0 project that won't be a 'release' per se but just an extensive transfer and restoration job... or maybe that they just tease us and we may never see it!

Oh, and I'm game to be a judge! That'd be sweet.

I HAVE TWO COMPLETE SETS OF MEGAGRAPHICS FROM THE MOVIES TROY AND SIDEWAYS. I HAVE SEVERAL WINDOW POSTERS, AND I'M WORKING ON HAVING SOME OTHER PRIZES DONATED. I EVEN HAVE A FEW STAR WARS GRAPHICS FROM TPM. I'M GOING TO DO MY BEST TO HAVE TROPHIES MADE AS WELL. JAY AND I ARE STILL WORKING ON A FEW MORE THINGS.
