RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

Agree, Disc labels will be very nice maybe for this set of Darth Solo's...

ChainsawASH did the 90 box set, so I've decided to tackle the 92 box set.

I will upload these after I am confident in their quality, and I am done with the Blu Ray sized covers I am doing for Harmy's edits.

The images I used are the highest quality I could manage. Painstaking hours in front of a computer searching for the highest of quality images. The fonts I used aren't exact, but they are very close.

Anybody know if these covers are completed yet? Thanks.

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

They are close to being done. I've taken a hiatus from cover making for a while. School and the holidays have made getting around to doing the covers a hard task. I've got a break coming up, I'll try and work on them then. I started these covers before school, so I've heaped up a lot on my plate since then.

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

good cover,i like it

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

Thanks, hopefully tomorrow after school, I can finish them up.

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

The covers are done. Should I have a barcode on the back to be authentic, or keep it off?

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

Keep it off. Barcodes get in the way of the visuals and don't serve any purpose in this case. Can't wait for the cover.

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

Here it is in all it's glory. It's not perfect, but as good as I could get it considering the materials available.

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

Those look great! Thank you very much!

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

Here are some I did that use the Olly Moss posters. (http://ollymoss.com/galleries/movie-posters) Unfortunately the originals are not available as high res, so I used vectorized ones made by a guy on Reddit. They are not quite like the originals, but close. The back and spine are inspired by AvP's beautiful work. I hope AvP doesn't mind that I used his art.

Found these the other day and thought they were pretty cool.  You can download the hi-res art here:  http://tomberryartist.deviantart.com

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

These are really great! I think I'll use them for some LD preservation or something.

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

I just found an old folder with some Star Wars covers in it on a CD.  I don't know if these covers are still floating around the internet but I had some space in the cloud so I thought I would share them.  If you're interested hit up the below link.

No problem.  Hopefully you were able to find something useful in there.

Now, here is what the set will look like, I still haven't added any logos. The fronts and sides will stay as is, but the backs will contain the FOX logos and whatnot.

The thing I am most proud of is the colour work I did to Return Of The Jedi's poster. I hated how saturated and blue it was, so I toned it down a bit to work with the other posters, let's face it ANH and Empire had the best posters.

Does anyone still have these covers. If so can you please upload them because megaupload got shutdown.

Thankfully I held on to them. Here you go. Mediafire's been treating me right lately. Kind of a bigger file, but oh well.

Mackey256, could you upload the contents of your cover cd to a different site? Box.com doesn't let you download the whole folder, so you have to download them one by one.

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

Sorry but I deleted the files off my computer shortly after the upload.  I would have to download them all again to upload them someplace else.  Hopefully someone will grab them and post them elsewhere.  I also think box.com has a bandwidth limit so once that is hit the files won't be online for another month.

Thanks for the help

Having some trouble getting these guys to open........can anyone help??? These covers take me back to my youth and an awesome Christmas when I got this VHS set!

RE: Star Wars DVD Covers

Hey Guys,

it's weird, having so many different versions auf our all-favorite trilogy, I'm still craving for completion. So I finally managed to get the 5-Star Version (about 10 years later, I know...:-) I will not even watch it, because of the quality:-) Can someone please cure my addiction???

Anyway, back to topic: Does anybody have a tip where to get the covers for the Five Star Trilogy (97 SE)? I looked through all the torrents as well, and prillaman just has the inlays.

Thank you so much (as always)!
