Fanf- Curse should also (if I'm not mistaken) have an extended scene from Revenge in there.

Am I mistaken?

All the out-takes I can find and the films I believe they are from:

Balls Costume shop: Strikes Again
Closeau Ariving Home (Lift gag): Strikes Again
Closeau Sets Paper / Office on fire:Return
Closeau's ride to Paris Airport: :Return
Closeau on plane / arrival in U.K." Strikes Again
Closeau at hotel: Strikes Again

There are a few shots of a body double, and one of Closeau (with bad over-dubbed voice) telling a cab driver to "Drive like the wind". I refuse to use them in my edits. With the "Closeau at hotel" cut scene from Strikes Again, there was some over-dubbed voice of Herbert Lom added for Trail. I have removed that voice over.

Doesn't the 'Closeau arriving home with groceries' sequence connect directly (With overlap) to the scene from Return?

Also, if I'm not mistaken, there is an exterior scene which is from the old movies, then cuts to people in a car following a body double, which was reshot -- but the rest of the sequence is 'real'

UPDATE:

"Trail" and "Curse" are just too horrible! I'm not going to do an edit of them.
The jokes are so dated and the story is so boring... There is just no point.
I'll make a set with extended versions of "Strikes Again" and "Return of", and that's all.

"Trail", "Curse" and "Son of" need to be lost forever.

Good call.

Closeau arriving home with groceries' sequence is all an extended scene from "Strikes Again".

Is the exterior scene you are talking about the one where Closeau is attacked by some woman's dog at the corner store? If so, it's over-dubbed (by Rich Little?) and is a horrible segment.

Some things just need to be keept on the cutting room floor.

The Extended Pink Panther Strikes Back is done!

Look for it a torrent near you!

cool. What are the exact specifics now? Did you combine scenes from different pink panther movies and make it a new movie?

I'll have all the DVD stats and Mpeg codec info up soon in the Fanfiltration release thread.

I have a number of projects (4) coming out all at the same time, so I am a bit overloaded & a bit behind at the moment.

The Extended Pink Panther Strikes Back re-inserts deleted footage that was later used as part of the "Trail" plot line.

Some of the "Trail" footage had to be trimed and a bit of audio adjusted to keep a smooth flow & continuity to the original film.

Scenes put back include:

Balls Costume Shop (with Harvey Korman)
Extended Lift Scene (Dancing in the Rice)
Flight to London (Big Lady / Small Loo)
London Hotel (Do you have for me the "massage"?)

This edit runs a solid 2 hours, is in Digital AC-3 (original mono), 16x9 NTSC, and has no DVD extras.

This most likely will be my only edit related to this series of films.

Hi, I was just going though this old thread. I haven't been able to find it anywhere thus far; do you know of a place where it is still active?

Cheers,
