What do people think about doing preservations (not sure if that's the right term) of sports seasons? So much sports footage is basically unavailable to most people because nobody keeps recordings of it. Do you think there'd be interest in preserving entire seasons of, for example, American football, or European ski-jumping, or basketball?

um... people DO record it. there are whole communities online that are devoted to recording sports and sharing them on the interwebs.
