Hey, I don't know if this is the right forum for this kind of thing, but I don't know where else to turn.

I really want to make my own Phantom Menace fan edit, but for the life of me, I don't know where to begin. I don't know the first thing about how to put the film on my computer to edit, or editing in general. I would really appreciate some advice/tutorials/etc. 

I have a newer 2010 HP computer, if that info helps.
