Although "The Matrix" raised the bar for sci fi movies, its two sequels disappointed some fans of the original movie.

This edit is an attempt to continue the story within the Matrix wherever possible. The editors consider that the omission of the Zion scenes is a major improvement to the film's pace and plot development.

The editors tried to reduce the running time of the sequels as much as possible. Also, several scenes that were felt to be unsuitable or unnecessary have been cut, e.g. the scene when Morpheus talks to Link about trust and the scene when Trinity dies on the rooftop and is saved by Neo with an internal heart massage.

The fighting of the Zion battle has been cut from the much-criticized ending scene of Revolutions.
