I love spiders too, if possible it's best to try and move creatures out of the house than kill them but we had a air duct infestation of starlings once and they brought loads of spider eggs in with the nesting materials ate through the bathroom roof so eventually we had to get the pest control people in to deal with the millions of little spider babies.

I still felt like crap afterwards.

It is weird that people who keep pets could kill other animals based purely on personal preference.
